Morris Osborne

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Morris Osborne of Salmon Arm, BC, age  78, on Sunday, October 14, 2007 , at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital after a brief illness.   

 

Morris, born April 14, 1929, was raised and went to school in the  Leinan district of  Sask. where He later farmed and raised his own family.  He was a very hard worker,  who was involved in and a well respected member of the community.  Morris retired at a young age and was able to persue his love of golf.  He was a very active member of the Swift Current Elmwood Golf & Country Club, as well as Desert Sands G&CC in Mesa, and Salmon Arm Golf & CC in Samon Arm.

 

Morris is survived by his wife of 31 years, Adeline, 2 sons: Larry Osborne, Alan Osborne of Swift Current, SK, 4 daughters: Holly (Ryan) Kane of Medicine Hat, AB, Sharon (Randy) Fortney, Nancy (Kelly) Ford of Swift Current, SK, & Brenda (Dave) Kenzie of Salmon Arm, BC, along with 13 grand children, 8 great grandchildren, sister Betty (Ralph) Biese of Swift Current, brother Stanley Osborne of Toronto,Ontario, and many neices and nephews.

 

Morris will be  missed by all his family and friends and remembered for his quick wit and dry sense of humor, which he maintained to the very end. 

 

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Lourens and the many wonderfull nurses at SLH for the kind and gentle care Dad received over the past weeks.

No serivce was held at Morris's request.  An informal "Celebration of Life"  tea will be held at Lakeside Manor on Thursday, October 18, 2007, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
