Nancy Ellen Atkinson

November 12, 1934 - March 13, 2019
The family of Nancy Ellen Atkinson are saddened to announce her passing on March 13, 2019 with her family at her side.
Nancy was born to Duffy and Margerite Dunn in Traverse City, Michagan. Mom's early years were spent in the United States, moving to Prince George at 19, where she met her future husband Chester Owen Atkinson. They were married on July 1956 in Victoria.
They moved around to many communities in B.C. as Chester worked in the logging industry. In 1963 the settled in Chilliwack where they remained until moving to Ashton Creek in 1973. Nancy spent the last 10 years in Salmon Arm at Pioneer Lodge and Piccadilly Care Centre.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, husband Chester, daughter Donna, sister Dixie and brother John. She is survived by her sister Joan (Bill) Galloway, children, Heather (Erik) Reid, Eric (Christine) Atkinson, Della (Paul) Cascagnette, Holly (Russ) LeNeve, grandchildren, Will (Cindy) Reid, Sandra McCrea, Matthew (Miranda) Cascagnette, David Cascagnette, Kayleigh Peters, Travis (Ally) Peters, Jacqueline Atkinson, Zachary Atkinson, Alexander Atkinson and 6 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Life will be held June 2, 11:00 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3270 60th Ave NE.
Thanks to the Staff at Pioneer Lodge and Piccadilly Care Centre for their care and compassion during the last 10 years if her life.
