It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing in Shuswap Lake General Hospital on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 of Pauline Metcalfe at the age of 63 years.
A Celebration of life service was held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm, on Monday afternoon with Jack Bowers the funeral celebrant. Tributes were shared by the family. Born in Quesnel, BC on June 17, 1957. Pauline has been a resident of the Shuswap since 1971, she is well remembered for her years of work in the restaurant service, having formerly worked at the Brass Kettle, Hideaway, Setters, Jane's Place (of which she owned for a time).
Pauline was a very determined girl, some would consider demanding, not one to sit around, let's get things done. A very dedicated and loving mother and grandmother.
She leaves her husband of 45 years, Hugh, daughter Denise (Dan) Jagt and their children, Myah, Elijah and Jonah (twins) of Salmon Arm; son, Jason (Sarah) and their children Kai, Shaemus and Linden of Armstrong; her mother, Germaine Chamberlain of Salmon Arm; siblings Denis, Daniel and Conrad all of Campbell River, Susan of Vernon, Bryan of Salmon Arm.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Bowers Funeral Home and Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
