Peter Kuchta, our loving father and Opa passed away suddenly at Shuswap Lake General Hospital on Feb 5, 2012 at the age of 89. Peter was pre deceased by our mother, Elsie, in 1999. Dad is survived by his loving family, daughter Marianne (Adrian), sons; Ken (Wendy), John (Lori) and Mike (Eileen), twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Peter was born in Poland and in 1951 came to Canada with his mother settling in the Vernon area. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railways and they moved to Salmon Arm in 1961. Upon retirement he found more time for fishing and gardening, but his family always came first. Their home was often filled with the laughter and activities of the grandchildren.

As per Peters wishes there will be no formal service. He was cremated and his ashes will be interred with his wife Elsie at Mount Ida Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Shuswap Lodge for their kindness and excellent care shown to our Dad where he was a resident for the past five and half years. Thank you also to Dr Heunis for his care.

Goodbye dad and Opa. We will miss you.
