With heavy hearts we say good-bye to Raymond Pakka: our beloved husband, father, friend, papa & great-grandpa. Born Aug. 30, 1928 in Salmon Arm; passed away Oct. 21, 2011 at home in White Lake where he wanted to be.

He leaves behind loving wife Mary Ellen of 58 years, son Steve (Debbie), daughters Jean (Glen) & Jill (Tim), 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren & a large extended family.

Ray worked as equipment operator for private contractors as well as the highways dept. for 28 years, retiring at the age of 55, all the while working on the family farm as a second job. In his retirement, in addition to continuing his work of the family farm he worked as a volunteer firefighter for the White Lake Fire Department. All his life, Ray loved skiing, dancing, farming and spending time with his family & friends. A light has gone from our lives.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday Oct. 29, 2011 at Carlin Hall at 11:00 AM.
