Robert "Bob" Carl Hoisington, 91, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025.
Born on February 18, 1934, in Shaunavon, SK, he was the eighth of eleven children of Beatrice Stephenson and George Hoisington. He married Evelyn on April 11, 1959. They lived in the lower mainland, then settled in Silver Creek, BC. A devoted husband and father, Bob loved hunting and fishing. They retired in Keremeos, BC.
Bob is survived by his children, Cheryl (Rodney) Nitchie of Barkerville, Leslie (Debbie) Hoisington of Red Deer, Leonard (Daphne) Hoisington of Kelowna, Lorna (Dave) Cawley of Lloydminster, Christine Murray of Keremeos, and Brenda (Stan) Jacobson of Red Deer, as well 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, in 2016.
A Celebration of Bob's Life was held at Providence Funeral Home in Penticton, BC. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local fire department or a charity of your choice. The family offers heartfelt gratitude for all prayers and support.
