A devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather passed away unexpectedly in Surrey, B.C.

Bob was appreciated for his warmth, generosity and commitment to family and friends.

He lived a life of integrity and was a true gentleman.

Bob was born in Kamloops. He grew up on the family ranch in Clinton, surrounded by a large family and close community. Bob was a UBC Forestry graduate (1960). He married Marlene in 1961. As a family man, Bob was kind, patient, and loving.

As a Forest industry professional, he was sincere, intelligent and loyal. Bob had a rewarding professional career, working and living in several towns: Parksville, Port Alberni, Quesnel and Salmon Arm. He was employed at MacMillan Bloedel, Western Forest Products, Federated Co-op and Drew Sawmills. He also worked independently as a Consultant, representing and advocating for small business operators in Forestry. He retired several years ago. Bob and Marlene enjoyed life in the Shuswap, international travel, and winters spent in Arizona.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene, sons David (Tracy), Glen (Shirley) and daughter Janet (Howard). Five beloved granddaughters: Janelle, Lauren, Avery, Carlyn and Sara. He was predeceased by his grandson, Eric.

A celebration of life was held in Bob’s honour on August 13, in Salmon Arm. The Robertson Family would like to thank our many friends and family for your support, at this sad time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Shuswap Community Foundation in Bob’s memory: Box 624, Salmon Arm, B.C. V1E 4N7 www.shuswapfoundation.ca
