November 10, 1958 - November 8, 2019
With sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Langlands on November 8, 2019 at 60 years of age after a year-long battle with cancer. Robert was born November 10, 1958 in Golden, B.C. He moved with his family to Penticton in 1961 for six years and then to Salmon Arm in 1967. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sisters, Fran Blackburn of Salmon Arm and Jean Langlands of Chilliwack, his niece, Elizabeth Blackburn, nephews Isaac Walsh and Ryan Blackburn, and his many friends, especially his long-time friend Stuart Holmes. He was predeceased by his parents John and Marjorie Langlands, brother Arthur and nephews Mike Walsh and Austin Blackburn. The family would like to thank the nurses and care aides at Mt. Ida Mews for the kindness and care they provided to Robert during his last six months. His family and friends had an informal get together at Clover Court to visit and remember Robert.
