On October 17, 2011, Rod lost his valiant battle with cancer. He was 78. Rod was born in Winchester, UK, and raised in Tenby, Wales. For Rod, life was an adventure: he was a photographer in the navy, then held various positions in major oil companies, both in UK, N. Africa, and Canada. In the early 1970’s he immigrated to Canada and was fortunate to obtain employment in the oil field until he retired. Rod lived simply and tried to enjoy every moment of every day. He especially loved to ride his motorcycle, camp, explore the countryside, and tinker in his workshop. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Denise, his stepson Shaun Reynolds, his daughter Karen Lucarelli (Pat) and granddaughters Megan and Christina. Private family arrangements have been made.
