Ross Arthur Fields went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2009. Ross and his wife Cheryl raised a family of three boys, Aaron, David and Jordan. He was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, a family man, an avid outdoorsman, and a great friend. He was an icemaker and district employee in Salmon Arm since 1980, and will be remembered in the community for his kindness and generosity in his service as at the rink. As his son I was proud to be able to say, “I have the most Canadian dad ever – built a log house, hunts moose and drives a Zamboni.” All who knew Ross, know that he lived life well and set an example for us all; of faith, love, hope and, of course, fun.

Ross’ memorial was held at his home church, Broadview Evangelical Free Church on March 14, at 1:00 pm.  His family wishes to thank all those who shared in this celebration of his life and who donated money to the Hospital memorial fund.  As his family, we’ll miss him, but not for long.  We will be together soon.
