In loving memory ~

Roy passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family in his home in Salmon Arm. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy; sons Scott (Susanne), AJ (Lynn), Kyle (Shauna); grandchildren Grace, Eli, Jonas, Quilla, Sydney, and Ryann; brother John; sister in-law Diane; nephews, Justin, Joel, Erin, Greg, Alan and niece Judy. He is predeceased by his brother Frank; sister Mary; brother-in-law Barry and sisters-in-law Zoa and Yvette.

Roy was born and grew up in Vancouver. After high school he worked for the Insurance Industry. He and his wife Judy were married in Kamloops in 1965 and purchased a poultry farm in Sorrento in 1975. Roy was a director of the Egg Marketing Board and later elected as a director for the CSRD for 2 terms. Roy was an active community member and a dedicated father to his three sons and a much loved husband.

After retiring in 2002, and building a home in Raven, Roy and Judy enjoyed camping, travelling, biking, hiking, tennis, cross-country skiing and time spent with family and friends. Roy spent many hours in his work shop building furniture for all the family. He also served as the treasurer for the Larch Hills Ski Club and the Salmon Arm Tennis Club.

As we say farewell to Roy, may we celebrate the life he lived, the memories he gifted us and the love that will continue to live on in our hearts.
