Roy Vincent Dagneau passed away peacefully at Mariposa Gardens care home in Osoyoos, BC, December 14, 2019.
Roy is survived by his wife Patti and two sons Rod and Michael.
He was born in Calahoo, Alberta in 1935, but grew up in Quesnel, BC. He started his working life as a forestry cruiser, then married Marie (nee Gollits) in 1959. Soon after he went to the University of BC to become a teacher and principal (at Kingfisher, Salmon Arm, Sorrento, Carlin and South Canoe).
Roy also loved the outdoors and travelling, and volunteered for Shuswap Search and Rescue. After Marie got cancer, he took up marathon running and organizing Terry Fox runs.
He remarried in 2005 to Patti (nee Beedle) then moved to Oliver, BC. A Celebration of Life is tentatively planned for early summer in 2020.
