It is with great sadness that the family of Russell John Rusnak announce his sudden passing on February 4, 2017.

Russ will be dearly missed by his loving wife Christena of 39 years, son Jonathan, daughter Jaime-Lynn, parents John and Vi, brothers Darcy (Cindy) from Whitehorse, Yukon, Brad (Karen) from Drumheller, Alberta and Trevor from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Russ was born in Kitimat, BC and lived there until the family moved to Salmon Arm in 1968 at the age of 11. He graduated high school in Salmon Arm then eventually took up Alberta residences in Alberta Power Limited/ATCO Electric towns and cities of Edmonton, Slave Lake, St. Paul, Drumheller and Rainbow Lake. There was one northern territory venture to Dawson City, Yukon with Yukon Electric before choosing Grande Cache, Alberta as the town to complete his work to retirement after 35 years of service.

The beautiful views and mild seasonal weather drew them to the Clearwater, BC area where Russ & Chris decided to buy land and build in preparation for retirement in 2012.

Russ loved spending his time with his family and also enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. Early in life Russ enjoyed sports such as baseball, lacrosse and hockey then later on curling, recreational hockey and slow pitch. Russ was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Russ always had a smile on his face, a moment to chat and a kind word for all.

Services will be held in Clearwater, BC on Saturday, February 11th at 2:00 PM a the Saint James Catholic Church hall.
