Our mom, Sadie Nelson passed away suddenly and peacefully at Piccadilly Care Centre on the morning of June 15th, 2011 at the age of 94.

Sadie was born in Saskatoon Sask. on November 29, 1916. She lived in Sask. until 1953 when her and dad moved to Kamloops, then to Barriere in 1955, settling in Salmon Arm in 1988 for their senior years.  Dad passed away in 1994.

Mom  remained in her home  for 12 years, spending the last 7 and a half years in senior residences, the last one being Piccadilly Care for 3 and a half years - she was one of the first to move into the new facility.  Here she received excellent care from all the staff, who we would like to give a big thank you to at this time.

Sadie is survived by daughters - Gloria (Don) Henschell in SA, Judy (Frank) Bojda in Kamloops and son Keith (Norma) Nelson in Barriere. Also 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grand children.

Mom became an active Jehovah’s Witness in 1947 and remained loyal to her faith right up to the day of her passing.  We will miss her for now but we have the promise of  a resurrection to a paradise earth, a fulfillment of the Lords prayer we all pray - that Gods will be done on earth - and her favorite text from the Bible  was Psalms 37: 29  - “ The righteous will posses the earth and reside on it forever “.

She held this promise close to her heart. There will be no memorial.  We all thank our mom for the years of caring for us and teaching us the values that have made all her family special.
