Shirley May Greentree passed away in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC on January 21, 2012 at the age of 74 years.

A celebration of life service and reception was held in the Common Room at Parkview Place, 851 5th Ave. S.W. Salmon Arm, BC on Saturday afternoon, January 28th at 2 p.m. with Jack Bowers the celebrant.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta on March 13, 1937. Shirley, being married to a Canadian Armed Forces man for 56 years, lived in many locations in the world (making good friends far and wide) before coming to Salmon Arm to live and work in 1979. She was employed with Claus Pressler, working in the Pharmacy until moving to Nanaimo in 1982. They returned to Salmon Arm in September of 2011. Shirley remained in good spirits, despite long health issues causing hardship in communication with family and friends.

She leaves her loving and dedicated family, husband Jim, children, Judith of Kaslo, Steven (Cindy) of Mission, Cheryl (Stan) Lehman of Calgary, Darin (Kelly) of Langley, two grandchildren Kelsey and Kara; sisters and brothers, Marlene Bolton of Edmonton, Lorraine (Roy) Ostic of Spruce Grove, Dale (Anna Belle) Hoople of Entwistle, Rodney (Colleen) Hoople of Falkland.
