Susan Irene Potter (nee Beale) – Born July 16, 1943 in Prince George, BC and passed into the arms of the Lord July 19, 2008 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, late of Tappen/Sunnybrae, BC.

Loving wife, mother, and grandma. Predeceased by parents Lavina and William (Bill) Beale and Granddaughter Melissa Potter. Survived by a loving and devoted husband of over 44 years Alan, son Robert (Dianne), daughters Sandra (David) Luck, Kathleen (Michael), six grandchildren; Jessica, Terry, Curtis, Jacqueline, Samantha and Danyon, dearly loved cousin Nancy (Dan) and many other family members.

Susan was a dedicated member of the Shuswap Needle Arts Guild and will be sorely missed. The family extends a very special thank you to Nancy, Janet and Shirley, to the extraordinary nurses and caregivers of SLGH, Dr. Theron and other doctors, hospice volunteers, especially Gloria and Joanna and the many friends and neighbours for their support during Susan’s illness.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Church at Okanagan and 5th Street SE, Salmon Arm. A Remembrance Tea will follow at Fischer’s Funeral Services, Trans Canada Hwy. at 1st Ave. SW., Salmon Arm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Susan’s name may be made to the South Shuswap First Responders or the Shuswap Search and Rescue (Rescue Boat Campaign).
