Born April 12, 1916 in Glenboro, Manitoba; passed away peacefully April 27, 2011 in Penticton. She is survived by her children, Lois (John) Lund, Marlene Gawley, Jim (Cindy) Gawley, Chris (Darlene) Gawley; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family. She was predeceased by daughter, Brenda Ens; husband Arthur and grandson, Andrew. Sveina met Arthur while they were both on vacation in Vancouver. They married 9 months later in Winnipeg, Manitoba and she moved to Trail with him. They moved to Salmon Arm in 1956 and then to Penticton in 1989. She loved music and dancing, reading and cooking. She was famous for her homemade donuts. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Vineyard Community Church (102-1825 Main St., Penticton) at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations made to a charity of your choice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
