January 11, 1936 - August 24, 2018
Thomas Herbert Day passed away at Salmon Arm, BC on August 24, 2018. He was born on January 11, 1936 in Medicine Hat, AB to George and Elizabeth Day. His early years were spent with his family, including three sisters and a half-brother, on a farm.

The family moved to Erickson, BC, and Thomas attended school in Creston, BC. After moving to Cranbrook, he worked on the railway and pursued his musical studies. Continuing his studies at Alliance Bible College in Regina, SK, he then moved to Saskatoon, SK. Thomas completed his ARCT in piano performance and teaching; his licentiate, Trinity College of Music, London, England. His career spanning more than 60 years included teaching piano theory, performance and examination, throughout Canada.

He married Jean in 1960 and was the proud father of son, Timothy and daughters, Laurel and Kimberly.

In 2001, Jean and Thomas moved to Sicamous, BC where he continued teaching, performing in music and drama, enjoying gardening and nurturing his trees. He also volunteered for many activities, lately as the treasurer on the Board of Directors for Eagle Valley Housing.

His love of water, and living a life dedicated to his triune God and Father, led him to manage an outbound camp at Nemeiben Lake, SK for 30 years.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 58 years (July 30, 2018) and best friend, Jean; son, Timothy (Diane) and their son, Matthew (Cassidy) and precious great grandchildren, Rhianna and Benjamin; daughter, Laurel (Reg Lalach) and precious granddaughter, Jessica (Michael Mitchell); daughter, Kimberly (Doug) and precious grandchildren, Sophia and Tait; sister, Alice and family; sister-in-law, Esther and family; as well as many nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his son, Byron.
