Thomas Layton Dowler, 79, of Salmon Arm, BC, passed away peacefully at Shuswap Lake General Hospital on December 31, 2008. He was predeceased by spouses Ollie (Demkiw) and Evelyn (Roske), brother Bob and his beloved dog, Fred. Tom is survived by brother Lloyd (Kae), daughters Sandi (Mike) Sullivan, Dawne (Dan) Leone, Lauren Turner and step-children Cynthia (Ross) Muncey, Kim (Bonnie) Armstrong, grandchildren Tanner, Tye, Kelsie, Laine, Lee, Brad, Tim, Amanda, Tiffany and Lee as well as three great grandchildren.

Tom travelled extensively in dedication to his Jehovah’s Witness missionary service. He will be remembered for his “smiling” eyes, his wonderful life stories and his creative woodworking talents.

Thank you to the staff of the Piccadilly Care Centre for the exceptional care Tom received during his residency.

A memorial service celebrating Tom’s life will be held at the Salmon Arm Kingdom Hall on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your choice of wildlife conservation programs.
