Mrs. Twila Maxine Perras passed away in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC on Friday evening, October 29, 2010 at the age of 85 years.

A Prayer service was held from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Tuesday evening, November 2nd, at 7 p.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. with Father George LaGrange OMI the celebrant, with an honor guard by the CWL, and words of remembrance by daughter, Diane.

Interment followed in the family plot in Mt. Ida Cemetery, with grandsons as pallbearers; Jayson Huyder, Quin Perras, Jeremy Huyder, Kip Barnes, John Barnes, Mike Barnes; and honorary pallbearers Kevan Perras.

A reception was held in the Parish hall, allowing time for family and friends to continue sharing of memories.

Born in Flora, Oregon, USA on June 4, 1925, with her late husband and family they moved from Spirit River, Alberta to Canoe in 1974. She is well remembered for her devotion with her family and her church.

Predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Frances Dale; her husband, Victor in 1997, and son, Wayne in 1985; a sister Shirley and brother Harold.

She is survived by her 5 children, Diane (Dennis) Barnes of Cardston, Doug (Lynne) of Calgary, Lois (John) Huyder of Clearwater, Larry (Gillian) of Scotland, Floyd (Tracie) of Winnipeg; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Charlotte Driediger, Clesta Dale, Elma Martin and Jean Holderson; 2 brothers, Wilfred and Harvey Dale.

In lieu of flowers, Twila requested memorial donations may be sent to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Salmon Arm.
