Victor Ronald Baglee passed away at his residence in Mara Lake, B.C. on Wednesday, July 31st, 2008 at the age of 78 years. A Memorial Service was held from the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm on Tuesday morning, August 6th with Mr. Gary Sulz officiating. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society, in memory of Vic.

Vic was born in Chase, B.C. on April 17, 1930 and had been a resident of the Mara Lake area since 1988. He loved hunting and spending time in the outdoors. Vic especially loved living in the Shuswap where he could camp, boat and fish. He enjoyed gold panning and even though he never struck it rich, he found just enough gold to keep the gleam in his eyes. Vic loved to read, but in later years his failing eyesight prevented this, but he still enjoyed watching detective shows, old westerns, science fiction, nature and history shows on television. He loved to tell stories and had a wonderful sense of humour. Vic was a very patient and kind man who loved his children and never failed to tell them so.

Vic was predeceased by his wife Eileen in 1998. He is survived by six children: Irish (Gary) Jones of Kamloops, Val Baglee (Matt Saari) of Hespero, Alberta, Ginny Smart (Joe Peters) of Kamloops, Vic (Jenny) Baglee of Kamloops, Carl Baglee of Dawson Creek and Shannon Baglee (Debra Tomma) of Chase; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren plus two more on the way; Aunt Mavis Tuulari of Salmon Arm as well as several cousins.

Arrangements were in the care of Bowers Funeral Service, Salmon Arm, B.C.
