Walter Mish passed away peacefully in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the age of 89 years.
Born in Penzance, Saskatchewan on April 8, 1920, Walter was raised in Saskatchewan, joined the Air Force and served Canada during WW 11. Later he moved to the coast of BC, working 30 years as a guard at Okalla prison. He moved to Salmon Arm in 1989.
Predeceased by his wife, Kay; sister, Mildred
Grant, brothers, Ed and Sam Mish. Walter leaves his sister, Irene (Dave) Martin of Wenatchee, Washington; brother, Stan (Betty) Mish of Richmond, several nieces, nephews and friends, including lifelong family friend, Helen Lewis and her family of Salmon Arm.
