September 7, 1948 - August 5, 2018
Wally passed away after a long and difficult battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (P.S.P). Wally was born in Toronto, Ontario, the oldest of 6.

There was never a dull moment, his many adventures as a child and young man was the stuff of legends!!

He drove the big rigs for over 30 years until a major heart attack sidelined him.

He managed The Valley Mobile Home Park in Silver Creek and was a depot manager for the Salmon Arm Observer for many years until the diagnoses of P.S.P. drastically changed his life.

Wally eventually became a resident of Bastion Place. The staff and therapists kept him strong until a few weeks before his death.

Wally introduced his children to his love of fishing, camping, golf, hockey and bowling.

Left behind is his wife Laura of 28 years, their children; Ashleigh (Kurt), Dakota, Dillon (Catherine). Son Jason with 1st wife Linda. Sons Jodie (Jackie), Walter (Nicole) with 2nd wife Jeanette. Grandchildren Joshua, Noah, Katherine, Micheal, Damian, Nevaeh, Austin, Logan, Nathan, Jay Ryder, Riley, Avery and Morgan. His Brothers Jeff (Judy), Leon (Shirley) and sisters Cindy (Frank) and Kim (Gord).

The family is forever grateful to Dr Kevin Goldberg, the staff at Bastion and Tammy and nursing staff at Shuswap General Hospital for their gentle and thoughtful care, making his departure less painful for him and his family.
