It is with sadness to announce the passing of Murray in Parksville, BC at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Ocean Falls, BC and lived in Salmon Arm, Golden, Texada Island, retiring to Enderby before moving to Nanaimo.
Most of his working career was as a welder on Texada Island. He enjoyed the people he worked with and his position there.
Murrays passions included fishing and camping at Hidden Lake, BC. He would fix anything he could. He had a special love for his cat Mikey and he gave the biggest bear hugs to people he knew!
He loved his family and especially enjoyed time spent with his children Rick (Lynn) stepdaughter Carolyn Langdeau (Brian) Lori (Rod). Murray was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Brother Lyle (Janet), stepsister Ita (Ruben), and stepbrother Patrick.
Murray was predeceased by his wife Sandra, parents Margaret and Frank Clayton.
We will miss you always. The family will be having a celebration in the summer at Hidden Lake.
