I was at the council meeting of July 22 in city hall.
Council was aware that there were present a number of opponents of the two Telus cell towers to be erected in Canoe, but comment was restricted until the very end, by which time all the councillors (including the mayor) had voted approval of the Telus proposal.
To me, it now seems that all three levels of government – federal, provincial and municipal – are prepared to kowtow to industry no matter the monetary and/or health cost to the taxpayer and the environment
