The two top teams in the North Okanagan Women’s Soccer Association competitive league took to the pitch on Tuesday, July 19 – TED United versus Dr Lee Dental.

The Salmon Arm Sockeyes travelled to Merritt for their last meet of the season before heading off to the Regional Championships Aug. 6 and 7 in Kelowna. They surprised coaches by winning the meet with only 23 swimmers, beating out Kelowna with 43 and Port Moody with 45.

Salmon Arm Sockeyes competed in Revelstoke this weekend, placing just behind the host team in overall points, as well as girls’ team points. The top boy’s team award went to the Sockeyes.

This is the camp’s 15th year, the creation of Tricia Martin, who says it provides them with positive role models while encouraging them to be fit for life.
