At Mt. Revelstoke National Park in Revelstoke on Thursday, Oct. 6, the Salmon Arm Secondary Cross-Country Running Team was once again a dominant force.

There’s no need to panic yet but the players and coaches on the Salmon Arm SilverBacks are feeling urgency to get things right heading into this weekend’s home-and-home set with the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Eric Letham and Christoph Schaub from Salmon Arm climbed into kayaks at Jericho Beach in Vancouver and began the 60-day adventure that took them to Juneau, Alaska.

The Salmon Arm Honda Midget Silvertips Tier 2’s celebrated their home opener on Sunday with a victory over the Kelowna Midget Rockets. Eric Austin opened up the scoring for the ’Tips five minutes into the first period, unassisted and short-handed. Darien Blight added another unassisted goal three minutes later, again short-handed. Levi Chamberlain notched his first goal before the end of the first.

Salmon Arm Secondary Cross-Country Running Teams had a great opening to their season on Sept. 28 in Vernon. The SAS teams took first place in the Junior Boys, Senior Girls and Senior Boys categories with the Junior Girls placing second.

In the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League, teams played at MacDonald Park in Vernon on Sept. 24.
