The Salmon Arm Silverbacks Hockey Club have signed on Karl El-Mir from the Selects Academy U-18 team to their 2014/2015 roster. El-Mir, who is from St. Lambert, Que., was voted MVP and offensive player of the year in the USPHL U-18 Division this past season. In 30 games played, he scored 21 goals and 27 assists.
