Local marathon canoe racers were in Prince George this past weekend competing in the Northern Hardware Prince George Centennial Marathon Canoe Race. Randy Brooks of Salmon Arm and Christopher Nicolson of Sun Peaks took first place in the recreational division with a time of 1 hour, 20 minutes on the 25-kilometre course and a prize of $250.
