Activities are planned to raise money for the Dearing Family Endowment Fund, which supports elementary-aged students who would benefit from financial support in their educational endeavours.
At the Friday, Jan. 16 Senior Golds basketball tournament, the Golds take on LV Rogers at 5:15 p.m. at the Sullivan campus. A fundraising bean bag toss, complete with prizes, will takes place at halftime.
The fund was established through the Shuswap Community Foundation to honour the memory of dedicated teacher, principal, coach and basketball referee, Barry Dearing.
