The Rink Academy Hockey Kelowna Female U18 Prep Team will be at three McDonald’s locations on Dec. 10 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. to raise funds for an important trip.
Four members will play for Team Canada and compete in the 2025 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship in Vantaa, Finland, from Jan. 4 to 12. The Rink Academ Team is ranked first in the their league and second in the country. Team Canada’s first game is against Team Slovakia on Jan. 4.
The McDonald’s restaurant operators have agreed to partner with the team. The locations are 2120 Harvey Avenue, Hollywood Road and Highway 33 in Rutland, and Reid’s Corner (Highway 97 and Old Vernon Road).
