Alysson Marshall has done it again.

Marshall won the Haywood NorAm Eastern Canadian Championships Feb. 3-5 in Cantley, Quebec after a three-day pursuit. She won by 29.2 seconds over Emily Nishikawa from Whitehorse.

In the individual race stage on the same day, Marshall just missed another gold medal by .3 seconds in this 15-km classic event.

She won a gold in the first stage,  the 1.4 km  classic sprint and was also the winner of the time trial.

In the second stage Marshall won a silver medal in the 10-km interval start skate event.

On Sunday, she was first out of the gate in the third stage of the 15-km classic pursuit. Nishikawa only had a four-second handicap, setting the two up for a gruelling race to see who would finish first and win the championship crown. The two stayed together for the first two laps, trading positions and drafting off each other. In the third lap Nishikawa clipped the back of Marshall’s skis and fell on a steep corner, leaving Marshall to finish the race with a commanding 29.2 second lead.

As the FIS Regional Leader (best eight NorAm races counted), Marshall has secured a ticket to March World Cups. She left for Latvia after her race.
