The Salmon Arm SilverBacks have added a new member to their behind-the-scenes team.

Melanie Hart has joined the organization as the new communications and promotions director.

Hart will work with the team as a whole but will primarily be responsible for team communications, social media, corporate sales and oversee game day promotions.

Hart’s written and media communications expertise were honed during her years working for various Members of Parliament and as an independent business consultant. Some may also know her as a singer/songwriter/recording artist who self-produced two albums of her original music and has toured across Canada and the U.S.
