Outlaws claim victory in Cranbrook

The Shuswap Peewee Outlaws lacrosse team laid claim to the Chris Watson Tournament in Cranbrook over the long weekend.

The Outlaws played the Cranbrook team on Friday night, and won handily 20-2. Saturday morning they took on Crowsnest and came out on top 14-3. In the third game, they were challenged to a close 6-2 game against High River, Alta. They played their fourth game on Sunday morning against the West Kootenay. It ended 13-4 for the Outlaws. Undefeated, they came up against High River Heats, again, in the finals. It was a close game to the end, but they came out victorious with a 7-5 win. Coaches are Steve McLaren, Brent Dodge, Rob Westcott, Andy Sadorsky and Carl Bannister. Players are Jack Calkins, Tyler Dunnett, Ethan Dodge, Noah Bumstead, Kotchaz Corcoran, Drew Bannister, Connor Senn, Tye Mitchell, Kayne Beaudry, Cameron Watson, Brandon Giroux-Dewes, Jadon Kerr, Ryan Sadorsky. Laying and Brayden Fairley.
