Salmon Arm's Darryl Horne is in Kingston, Ont., guiding Team Canada to what they hope will be a repeat of their 2012 win at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Horne is once again coaching the Heather Nedohin rink, made up of Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer and Dawn Askin.

With a 6-2 record, Team Canada was sitting in third spot Thursday afternoon behind Team Manitoba's  undefeated Jennifer Jones rink, at 8-0, and, in second, Team Ontario's Rachel Homan rink with a 7-1 record.

Team Canada's defeats came from a tight 8-5 contest versus leader Manitoba, and a 7-5 defeat to 4th place Team Saskatchewan.

Round-robin play continues through Friday evening. Team Canada was scheduled to face Alberta Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Ontario at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The top four rinks in the 12-team field start the playoffs on Saturday, Feb. 23.
