The Salmon Arm Salmar Classic Lightning Pee Wee Hockey team captures first lace in the North Okanagan Pee Wee Super League.

It came down to the last game of the regular season this weekend for the Salmon Arm Salmar Classic Lightning Pee Wee Hockey team  as they captured first place overall in the North Okanagan Pee Wee Super league.

The Lightning defeated Vernon Four Stevenson Mechanical 2-1 in a hard fought game at the Vernon Civic Arena. Jackson Mount opened the scoring for the Lightning, while Nathan Chorlton had the game winner assisted by Jacob Harding. Dominick Young played a solid game in goal. The Lightning finished the regular season 14-2-2 for a total of 30 points. Super League playoffs begin for the Lightning Feb. 25 in Sicamous.
