Salmon Arm's Jorri Duxbury makes the difference in Wolfpack win

Second-year guard Jorri Duxbury from Salmon Arm led the way for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack when the WolfPack snapped a four-game losing streak in Canada West women’s basketball play on Friday, Feb. 3.

Duxbury tallied 18 points and five assists.

The WolfPack downed the hometown Trinity Western University Spartans in Langley. The score at the Langley Events Centre was 66-61.

TRU’s shooting percentage was the difference in this game as they shot 55.3 per cent. The Pack had four players with at least 13 points each.

“The team played hard and worked well together on the defensive end,” said coach Scott Reeves.

The WolfPack closes out the home portion of their 2011-12 Canada West season on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Tournament Capital Centre against the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat. Tip off is 6 p.m.
