Nineteen-year-old downhill mountain biker Max Scharf competed in the Mont Sainte Anne downhill mountain bike world cup event on Saturday, Aug. 6. The Canadian national bronze medalist placed 68th in the 107-man field. Scharf finished the technical course with a respectable time of 4:18.365. Scharf finished just 18 seconds off the pace of the winner of the event.
