The Shuswap Grimm Ringers U16B Ringette team had an outstanding season this year, complete with a bronze medal finish at provincials in West Kelowna March 9-11.

The small team of nine are all heart. They got off to a slow start to the season but hit their peak at the Ringette Scores On Cancer tournament held at the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, AB Jan. 12-14. They went undefeated and returned home with the gold. They also earned gold in the the annual Sweetheart Tournament in Kelowna Feb. 9-11.

Their season wrapped up with a trip to the Provincials. They had a shaky start losing to Richmond in their first game but fought hard in their second game, losing in overtime to West Kelowna.

The team regrouped and came out strong, defeating Kelowna and then Delta which landed them in the semi-finals where they would once again face Richmond. This was a very tight battle, outshooting their opponents but being defeated 1-0 for the bronze in the Provincial Championship.

Outstanding goaltending was provided for the season by Kylynn Rosenburg and Kaiden Viik; strong offensive efforts from Ashley Bitz , Mikeala Curdyk , Chloe Latosky , Delaney Perry and defensive strength supplied by Teagen Findlay , Phoebe Barnes and Hannah Patterson. It was all possible due to the strong coaching support of Read Latosky, Jen Findlay, Tracey Johnson and Brianna Asham.
