On Monday, Nov. 10, 19 Salmon Arm Sockeye swimmers were recognized for their achievements in the pool at the city council meeting. Coun. Alan Harrison led the certificate presentation, and noted that recognizing people who have excelled in sports – and other disciplines – is one of council’s favourite things to do. Julianne Moore and Tricia Fair each broke provincial records this past year.
