Speedy practice

Jack Verdurmen, left, Aila Norlin and Shan Chhokar practise at Hucul Pond last Friday for the upcoming Ice Jam short-track speed- skating competition. The Ice Jam is being held Sunday, Feb. 1 at the Shaw Centre. Spectators are welcome to watch the racing, which starts at 9 a.m. and will run until approximately 1 p.m.
