The last few matches which were postponed due to rain-outs for the Salmon Arm Tennis Club were completed in the last couple of weeks. Results were: Men’s Singles A – 1st place: Bob Langford, 2nd place: Alan Harrison.
Men’s Doubles B – 1st place: Malcolm Shattock & George Elamatha, 2nd place: Ian McHarg & Steve Bradwell.
Men’s Doubles 60+ – 1st place: Ken Hecker & Eugene Ogino; 2nd place: David Askew & Val Heckrodt.
The 86th annual Hankey Cup Tennis Tournament took place in Vernon over the long weekend with 11 Salmon Arm Tennis Club members participating: Chad Hare, Ken Hecker, Shannon Hecker, Judith Heunis, Bob Langford, Cynthia Langford, Ian McHarg, Winston Pain, Supha Phonchiangkwang, Doug Rawson and Marianne VanBuskirk.
