The newly formed men’s winter tennis team consisting of Randy Arsenault, David Askew, Carl Bannister, Detlef Doose, George Elamatha, Dan Wark represented Salmon Arm on Jan. 17 in Kamloops placing second. Last weekend the women’s team, Cathy Bartsch, Marietjie du Plessis, Sue Ford, Cynthia Langford and Chris Melin, scored 10 out of 30 possible points playing an exhausting nine matches on Saturday, and six matches on Sunday against five other teams. In the singles department, the ladies did very well with du Plessis winning both of her matches with the final match going 7-5, 7-5.
