Salmar rewards excellence

The Salmar board has opened the door to nominations for this year’s $1,000 Award of Excellence.

The Salmar board has opened the door to nominations for this year’s $1,000 Award of Excellence.

The award will be made to an individual who has attained an outstanding level of skill or expertise in the field of performing arts or athletics. Entrants must be recognized at the provincial or national level. By their performance, the successful recipient will bring recognition to themselves and the Shuswap.

The Salmar board strives to present the award to various disciplines. Nominations should be made to the Salmar board by March 31. They may be dropped off at the Salmar Grand Theatre.

The grants committee will consider the nominations and will bring a recommendation on awarding, “The Salmar Award of Excellence” to the June meeting of the Salmar board of directors.

Nominators should make a case for whoever they are nominating, says board president Chris Letham.
