A group of Grade 8 students who participated in the Okanagan College Math Challengers competition gather Thursday, Feb. 14 in Kelowna. There were two Shuswap Middle School teams of five students each and amongst 10 Grade 8 teams from all over the Okanagan they placed second overall. Individually, Rowan McDonald placed third overall, Harley Bootsma was fourth and Rachel May was sixth. Team members include: Adrianna Williams, Ella Shykula-Ross, Rachel May, Curtis Bannister, Jessica Brown, Harley Bootsma, Dawson Mayes, Avery Papworth, Rowan McDonald and Jaeden Izik-Dzurko.
