Penticton Regional Hospital’s gift shop Treasures and Trinkets volunteers not only presented yet another cheque to the SOS Medical Foundation, they are hoping to raise even more through a three-day sale over March 6-8.
Gift shop manager June Revell-Quevillon and volunteer Carol Gyorgy presented a $40,000 cheque, the third installment of their $200,000 pledge to the SOS Medical Foundation in support of its $10-million oncology campaign, said Lissette Little, Director of Development at SOS Medical Foundation.
Since its inception, the volunteer-run store has made an incredible impact, donating well over $1 million to the foundation, which has helped the hospital purchase essential equipment.
Treasures and Trinkets sells quality gifts, ladies’ fashions, and toys with proceeds going to the foundation.
From March 6 to 8, the gift shop will be offering 30 per cent off the entire store.
“Your purchases make a real difference in enhancing medical care for our community,” said Little.
Treasures and Trinkets is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
