Chase RCMP Sergeant Gary Heebner reports that the Trans-Canada Highway was closed on Friday, Feb. 24 due to a rock slide.
The fall took place about 11:30 a.m. two kilometres east of Chase. The highway was closed briefly in both directions while crews worked to clear the rock.
Ministry of Highways was on scene shortly afterward, and geo-technical engineers were brought in to examine the rock face. The highway was soon open in both directions.
