Cowboys to share story and song for Salmon Arm Legion fundraiser

Mark July 22 on your calendar and saddle up for a Western adventure with Cowboy Roundup, featuring cowboy singers, poets and storytellers at the Royal Canadian Legion.

Presenters include Hugh McLennan of “Spirit of the West” fame, Vernon’s Rob Dinwoodie and band, Enderby’s Indigenous poet and storyteller Pat Thomas and our own poet, singer/songwriter/storyteller Blu Hopkins and author and storyteller Kay Johnston.

The Roundup, a fundraiser for the Shuswap Association of Writers, begins at 6 p.m. at Branch 62 Royal Canadian Legion Branch at 141 Hudson Ave. NW. Tickets are available at the legion and are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Tickets include a beer and a burger.
