Salmon Arm’s Jeremiah James plays his flute as part of the band that provided the music at a graduation parade at the Vernon Army Cadet Summer Training Centre. James, a member of 1787 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps in Salmon Arm, participated in courses to improve his skills with the instrument. During the summer, more than 1,100 Army, Sea, and Air Cadets from western Canada spend up to six weeks at the camp in Vernon.
