Man treated for gunshot wound in Revelstoke hospital: RCMP

The Revelstoke RCMP has launched an investigation after an individual with a gunshot wound was dropped off at the Queen Victoria Health Centre Thursday, March 14.

In a press release, the RCMP stated that the individual who is “well known to the police” arrived at the hospital at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday morning. The press release also said that “a possible scene has been identified.”

“The investigation is in its early stages, however, it is believed to be an isolated incident, with no threat to the public at this time”, said Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson.

The individual’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and the RCMP said it is working to “ascertain the details” of the occurrence.

The RCMP asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the Revelstoke RCMP at 250-837-5255 or Crime Stoppers.
